Abstract: Over time, news appears in various forms, one of which is online news. In some online news has its own characteristics, namely by using clickbait. Clickbait often makes readers fooled by the news title they read. But on the other hand, Clickbait on online news can also provide an increase in reading interest and train readers to think critically to find the truth of the clickbait online news. This study was conducted to find out how the influence of clickbait online news headlines on reading interest and critical literacy of SMKN 1 Kersana students. This research uses quantitative research methods and correlation research designs and uses random sampling techniques with a sample of 70. Data collection is done by questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis process used descriptive statistics, normality test, linearity test which was carried out as a prerequisite for the hypothesis, and t test to test the hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between clickbait online news headlines on the development of reading interest based on the results of the t test, the results obtained are tcount = 2.195, that is 2.195>1.667. There is an influence of clickbait online news headlines on the development of critical literacy based on the results of tcount = 2.360, that is 2.360>1.667.
