Abstract: Education is one of the most fundamental elements of life. The situation on the ground shows that educators still face obstacles in the teaching and learning process, especially in Indonesian language lessons. Educators have chosen effective strategies, but several obstacles remain, such as difficulties in teaching, both within the classroom and among the students themselves. Problems in Indonesian language learning, particularly in writing procedural texts, also occur at SMK Negeri 1 Kersana. Interviews with 11th-grade Indonesian language teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Kersana in Brebes Regency revealed that a relatively high number of students, at 65% out of 36 students, have not achieved the Minimum Competency (KKM), while the KKM for Indonesian language is 78.
