The purpose of this study is to describe the personality of the main character in the novel "Bring Me to Jannah" and to describe the factors that influence this personality in Nurhoiriah's novel "Bring Me to Jannah."
The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative.
The data sources in this study are the speech and behavior of the main character in Nurhoiriah's novel "Bring Me to Jannah." The data in this study are words from the novel that reflect Sigmund Freud's personality traits. The data collection techniques used were reading, listening, and note-taking. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The data analysis used includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification.
The results show that the main character's personality is predominantly Id, with 31 written items, while the Ego and Superego only have 27 and 26 items summarized, respectively. The Id personality is dominant because it has a basic nature before being influenced by other personalities, as the Id personality is an innate human trait from birth. The personalities that emerge in the novel can be influenced by factors that influence personality development. These factors are divided into two: innate and environmental. |
