Preparations in the form of gels used as facial skin care that are easy to apply
include peel off gel masks. One of the ingredients used in making peel off gel masks
is papaya leaves, because the content of papaya leaves has antibacterial activity
that can inhibit the development of bacterial cell development. This study aims to
determine the formulation and quality test results of preparations made from
papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L.). The method used was experimental and
analyzed descriptively. The quality test of the preparation includes organoleptic
examination, drying speed test, pH, homogeneity, adhesion and spreadability.
Organoleptic examination on F1 is brownish green color, distinctive aroma of
extract and gel shape. F2 and F3 are blackish green, typical extract aroma and gel
shape. Homogeneity test F1, F2 and F3 are homogeneous. The adhesion test, pH
examination, spreadability and drying speed meet the preparation requirements.
The results obtained can be concluded that the papaya leaf peel off gel mask
preparation formula in F1 is 1 gram, F2 is 3 grams and F3 is 5 grams and the
quality test of the three formulations meets the dosage requirements. |
