The ointment is a semi-solid formulation which is also easy to apply so it can be
used as an external medicine and the ointment also consists of dissolved or
dispersed active ingredients in an ointment base or base as a carrier for the active
ingredients. Papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) have antioxidant and antiseptic
activity which can play a role in healing wounds. This research aims to determine
the best preparation and the results of quality testing of ointment preparations
from papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.). The method used is laboratory
experimental with descriptive analysis obtained directly from the object under
study. The concentration of F1 preparation is 1 gr, F2 1.5 gr and F3 2 gr. Quality
tests of ointment preparations include organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH
tests, spreadability tests, adhesion tests. The homogeneity test results of F1, F2
and F3 are homogeneous. The results of the pH test, adhesion test, and
spreadability test of the three formulas met the required values for the value of
ointment preparations. Conclusion The results of the formulas are F1 1 gr, F2 1.5
gr and F3 2 gr and the quality test results of the three formulas meet the
requirements for the value of ointment preparations. |
