Abstract:

This study aims to determine the effect of the level of education and parental attention on the discipline of fourth-grade students. The method used in this study is correlational quantitative. The sampling technique used is total sampling, which considers the entire population as the sample in the study, totaling 42 samples. The data collection techniques used in this study are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include descriptive analysis, prerequisite tests for analysis including normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis tests including t-test and f-test. The results of this study show that the t-test result for the effect of education level on discipline is thitung < ttabel or 0.106 < 2.022, meaning Ha1 is rejected and Ho1 is accepted. Meanwhile, the t-test result for the effect of parental attention on discipline is thitung > ttabel or 4.847 > 2.022, meaning Ha2 is accepted and Ho2 is rejected. The f-test for the effect of education level and parental attention on discipline is fhitung > ftabel or 11.454 > 3.24, meaning Ha3 is accepted and Ho3 is rejected. Therefore, the conclusion of this study is that simultaneously there is an effect of education level and parental attention on discipline. |
