The purpose of this study is to describe the personality of the main character in the novel *Bring Me to Jannah* and to describe the factors that influence the personality of the main character in the novel *Bring Me to Jannah* by Nurhoiriah. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data sources in this study are the words and behaviors of the main character in the novel *Bring Me to Jannah* by Nurhoiriah. The form of data in this study consists of words in the novel that reflect Sigmund Freud's personality traits. The data collection techniques used are reading, listening, and noting. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis. The data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of the study show that the dominant personality of the main character is the Id, as there are 31 recorded instances, whereas the Ego and Superego personalities only have 27 and 26 instances recorded, respectively. The Id personality becomes dominant because it is a fundamental trait present before being influenced by other personality aspects, as the Id is an innate human trait from birth. Moreover, the personalities that appear in the novel can be influenced by factors affecting personality development, which are divided into two categories: innate traits present from birth and environmental influences. |
