Landslides are one of the most common disasters in Indonesia. Therefore, more serious handling is needed from the government, one of which is to identify areas prone to landslides early on, in order to prevent both material and non-material losses and fatalities. This study was conducted in Brebes Regency with field survey methods. Some things that can be done such as identifying disaster-prone areas then mapping disaster areas and various efforts to prevent risk hazards that have the potential to become disasters or reduce the effects after the disaster occurs. Information systems technology plays an important role for effective disaster management. This research will conduct an inventory of landslide-prone areas in Brebes Regency using geographic information systems (GIS). Disaster-prone areas are determined with the help of QGIS software. The results of this study are in the form of information maps that contain spatial and nonspatial data of disaster-prone areas in Brebes Regency. Some things that can be done such as identifying disaster-prone areas and then mapping disaster areas. Identification of potential landslide hazards using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can be done quickly, easily and accurately. Through the Geographical Information System is expected to facilitate the presentation of spatial information, especially related to determining the level of landslide hazard and can analyze and obtain new information in identifying areas targeted by landslides. |
