Abstract

The need to access the local network from home safely, schools as information management institutions must of course be able to secure traffic from data contained on computer networks. In general, VPN is a process where a public network or internet is secured to function as a private network. Apart from being a technology to facilitate the flow of data and information transfer, VPN is also important to secure the existence of the data so that it is not misused. VPNs allow users to be able to connect to public networks and use them to join local networks. VPN installation at Manbaul Hikmah Luwungragi Islamic Vocational School using a mikrotik server operating system router. Data running in a tunnel cannot be monitored because the data has been compressed and encrypted. Utilization of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that can establish a connection on a public network (internet) with rights and settings such as on a local network can be chosen as a means of accessing files and remote control (remote) on the server quickly and practically.
