In line with the development of the Brebes Regency urban area, it is deemed necessary to maximize the use of the available road network so that it can be used optimally in supporting regional development. This study aims to
(1) explain the condition of the road network in the urban area of Brebes Regency which has a potential area of natural resources, (2) find a strategy to develop a land transportation network to support the distribution of production in urban areas in the Regency of Brebes.
This research was carried out in three sub-districts that were included in theurban area of the regency of Brebes, namely the Ketanggungan District, the prohibition district and the Bulakamba sub-district. The data is analyzed using methods namely (1) Location Quotient (LQ) method to find out the region prospects, (2) Methods of SWOT Analysis to determine the strategy for developingurban road networks in the Regency of Brebes.
The results of the analysis and discussion show that transportation infrastructure in Brebes Regency, especially in urban areas, the Ketanggungan District road network has a total road length of 43.22 km with good road conditions of 20.15 km, medium length of 11.44 km, lightly damaged 4.5 km and damaged 7.13 km. Based on the results of the LQ analysis of the potential urban area matrix according to the types of food crops, plantations and livestock in the Ketanggungan District, there are 14 types of potential area sub-sectors among the other two sub-districts. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis the development of urban road networks Brebes Regency is in a strategy of strength and opportunity (SO). |
