Abstract: Self-medication is a patient’s effort to treat health problems experienced by drug products without a doctor’s prescription. Self-medication can be done by anyone regardless of sociodemographic status. The class of drugs that are often used self-medication are analgesic, namely drugs that selectively reduce pain that act on the central nervous system without significantly changing consciousness. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude of using analgesic drugs in pain self-medication in Grinting Village. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude of using analesic drugs in selfmedication of pain in Grinting Village. This research method uses quantitative descriptive research, the sampling technique uses random sampling technique using research questionnaire sheets obtained from 109 people in Grinting Village. The results of the research analysis using the chi square test found that there was a relationship (p value .002) between the level of knowledge and the attitude of using analgesic drugs in Grinting Village. The conclusion of the research that was conducted conluded that there was a relationship between the level of using analgesic drugs in pain self-medication in Grinting Village. Abstract: Jasmine leaves contain chemical compounds such as alkaloids, glycosides, saponins, terpenoids, and flavonoids. The content of flavonoids in jasmine leaves can be potential as antioxidants and have activities needed in the wound healing process such as flavonoids. This study aims to determine the formulation of jasmine leaf extract ointment (Jasminum sambac). The formulation of the jasmine leaf extract ointment was made with a concentration of 1 g, 1.5 g, and 2 g of jasmine leaf extract. Jasmine leaf extract was obtained by maceration method using 96% ethanol. The resulting ointment was then tested for its physical characteristics including organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, dispersibility tests, and adhesion tests. The results obtained showed that the physical characteristics of the jasmine leaf extract ointment at F1, F2, and F3 were semi-solid, dark green in color, not rancid, homogeneous, and at F1, F2, and F3 the jasmine leaf extract ointment met the requirements of a good test. from pH test, spreadability test, and adhesion test. Thus, it can be concluded that the formulation of jasmine leaf extract ointment with a concentration of 1 g, 1.5 g, and 2 g has good ointment preparation characteristics. Abstract: Jamu aches and pains is a ready-to-brewed traditional herbal medicine, which contains several ingredients which consist of several ingredients that have ingredients to treat muscle and joint pain. . Based on the results of initial observations made by researchers to several residenst of the Dukuhtengah village community that the community carried out self-medication because it was a mild disease, had experience treating the same disease before, economic considerations and lack of availability of health facilities, and for access to health in the village area. Dukuhtengah itself is still lacking because the community health canter in Dukuhtengah village does not have a supporting health center. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of the Dukuhtengah village community in the use of herbal medicine for aches and pains. The data in this study used primary data in the form of a questionnaire. The population of this research is the people in the village of Dukuhtengah, Keanggungan District, Brebes Regency. The sample used is the Dukuhtengah village community who are not health workers and have inclusion criteria aged > 20 years, willing to be respondents who can read and write totaling 109 respondents. Data collection method using simple random sampling. The data obtained were processed descriptive analysis and presented in the form of a table containing the number and percentage. The results showed that the percentage of the average level of public knowledge about herbal pain relief was 43.1%. Thus, it can be concluded that the level of knowledge of the people of Dukuhtengah Village, Keanggungan District, Brebes Regency about herbal aches and pains is sufficient. Abstract: Lately when we see social media impressions we will feel extraordinary sadness, about drug abuse one of which is the abuse of limited over-the-counter drugs such as dextromethorphan, or a combination of drugs with alcohol. Dextromethorphan is often abused with excessive doses so that it gives the effect of a sense of calm, visual and auditory hallucinations. Based on several surveys on the condition of the community in Larangan District Brebes Regency regarding the use of drug dextromethorphan, this study was taken from a problem when one of the people bough dextromethorphan drugs that exceeded the rules for use especially teenagers. Researchers want to know whether there is drug abuse. This research is a type of qualitative research that uses interviews, direct observation, questionnaires with the snowball method. From the results of the study it was found that 94% of understanding of the drug dextromethorphan was good and did not abuse dextromethorphan. Abstract: Handling fever in toddlers depends on the role of parents, especially mothers, so knowledge is needed. However, the mothers’s level of kwonledge varies greatly which results in differences in the management of fever in toddlers. Lack of knowledge results in inappropriate handling, so that healing becomes less than optimal. This study aims to identify knowledge of mothers about fever in toddlers and their handling. This type of research is a type of qualitative research conducted by filling out questionnaires. Determination of infomants using the snowball method. The data were processed by analytical descriptive. Most respondents measure fever by palpating body parts and do not use a thermometer. Almost most of the respondents immediately gave non-pharmacological assistance without giving antipyretic drugs. The most commonly used antipyretic is paracetamol. Some respondents do not know how to recognize fever and treat fever pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. The results show that the knowledge and role of mothers regarding fever in toddlers. Abstract: Body scrub is a cosmetic preparation used for skin care. Soy milk dregs are waste from processing soybean seeds which can be used for body scrubs, face masks and others. Soybean waste contains a lot of carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin B complex, water and isoflavones which have been proven to have a number of benefits for the skin and body. This study uses descriptive analysis by taking direct data in the study. The body scrub formulation was made using variations of 3 grams, 5 grams and 7 grams of soy milk dregs powder. This research includes several tests such as water content test, formulation test, organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, and dispersion test. The results of the body scrub test for formulas 1, 2 and 3 are homogeneous, brownish white in formula 1, light brown in formula 2 and dark brown in formula 3, distinctive smell of soy milk dregs. The pH test of the body scrub has a pH of 6.3 in formulas 1 and 2, pH 6.4 in formula 3. Formula 1 has greater dispersion than formula 2 and formula 3. Abstract: Unhealthy facial skin can be caused by several factors, one of which is exposure to free radicals. A cosmetic product that can be used as a refresher and moisturizer to keep the skin healthy is face mist because it is easy to apply to facial skin. Chayote (sechium edule sw) has antioxidant activity such as flavonoids, phenols and vitamin C so that it can help ward off free radicals. This study aims to determine the best preparation and the results of the quality test of face mist preparations from chayote (sechium edule sw) extract. The method used is laboratory experimental with descriptive analysis obtained directly from the object being studied. Face mist preparations were made with concentrations of 1.5 g F1, 2 g of F2 and 2.5 g of F3. Quality test of face mist preparation includes organoleptic test, pH test, specific gravity test, spray spreadability test and viscosity test. The organoleptic test results on F1, F2 and F3 had different colors, fragrance and liquid form. The pH test of the three formulas has a value of 6, the specific gravity test, the spray spreadability test and the viscosity test of the three formulas are among the values of the requirements for a good face mist preparation. The conclusion, the best formula for the face mist preparation from chayote extract is the face mist preparation with the addition of 2,5 grams of chayote ekstract formula and the results of the quality tests conducted for the three formulas have a value that is between the face mist preparation value requirements. Suggestions need to do further research related to irritation test to find out that the preparations made are safe to use and preferred. Abstract: Self-medication is the use of drugs by the community to treat minor complaints and ailments without doctor intervention. Self-medication can be a source of medication errors due to limited public knowledge of drugs and their use. Perception can be interpreted as a cognitive process in understanding information through the five senses, and each individual can provide different responses and meanings. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of the people of Parereja Village on purchasing medicines at pharmacies. This research uses quantitative methods and is analyzed using a Likert Scale. Respondents of this study amounted to 98 respondents. The results showed that the most respondents based on gender were women, namely 65. Respondents based on age at most were 18-25 years old with a total of 32. Respondents based on work were mostly housewives as many as 34. Respondents based on education most elementary school graduates were 45. Then the percentage was 77% the distance from home to the pharmacy, then 82% for the price of buying drugs at the pharmacy, then 81% for the service of buying drugs at the pharmacy, then 82% for the quality of the drugs sold at the pharmacy, and 68% for the waiting time buy drugs at pharmacies so that people can get treatment easily and quickly. Abstract: Shampoo, which is a cosmetic preparation containing surfactants, has detergency properties. Belimbing wuluh leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L) is one of the leaves that can be used to remove scalp dirt, so that it can be made into shampoo preparations. The aim of the study was to determine the quality test added to the belimbing wuluh leaves extract. and knowing the best formulation of shampoo preparation from belimbing wuluh leaves extract. Experimental research method by maceration. The formulation of belimbing wuluh leaves was made with concentrations of 1g, 3g and 5g. Each formula was subjected to formulation tests including organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH value tests, viscosity tests, and foam height tests. Organoleptic tests F1, F2 and F3 obtained the same dosage forms. However, there are differences in color and smell in each formula due to the addition of active substances. Homogeneity test F1, F2 and F3 all formulas have good homogeneity. Test the pH value of F1, F2 and F3 meet the requirements. The viscosity tests F1 and F2 met the viscosity requirements however, F3 did not. F1, F2 and F3 foam height tests are qualified. The results obtained can be concluded that belimbing wuluh leaves can be used as an anti- dandruff shampoo formulation from belimbing wuluh leaves extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L). Abstract: Jelly candy from chicken egg shells is a high calcium food supplement. Utilization of chicken egg shells for making jelly candy because chicken egg shells contain 98.43% calcium carbonate (CaCO3), 0.75% Potassium Phosphate (Ca3(PO4)2 and 0.84% Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO3). This study aims to determine the best formula and quality test results for jelly candy prepared from chicken egg shells. This study uses primary data obtained and collected directly from the object under study through experimental methods and then analyzed descriptively by presenting the data results from the analysis in the form of tables and narratives. The formulation of jelly candy from egg shells of purebred chickens was made with different concentration variations, namely, FI 2g, FII 4g and FIII 6g. This study included organoleptic tests, weight uniformity tests, moisture content tests, ash content tests and pH tests. The results of this study indicated that FI with an ash content value of 1.278%, a moisture content of 14.135% and organoleptically was the best formula. Based on the results of the study, jelly candy from chicken egg shells in FII and FIII which were stored at room temperature was organoleptically damaged so that it was not suitable for consumption. Abstract: Facial soap made with a softer texture functions to clean dead skin cells, dust, oil, make-up residue, and bacteria that stick to the face. Suruhan leaf extract contains saponins, tannins, flavonoids, steroids as antibacterial and antiinflammatory compounds. This study aims to determine the formulation of anti-acne facial soap from the extract of the leaves of the order (Peperomia Pellucida L). The research was carried out using an experimental method. Formulation of suruhan leaf extract with F0 (0 g), F1 (3 g), F2 (4g) and F3 (5g). Each formula was subjected to quality tests including organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH test, viscosity tests and foam stability tests. The research results obtained, F0 was a yellow color, a distinctive rose odor and a thick dosage form. F1, F2 and F3 have a blackish green color, a characteristic odor of suruhan leaf extract and are in a thick dosage form. In the homogeneity test, the formula is homogeneous. In the pH test, pH 10, 8, 8, 8 was obtained. In the viscosity test, the results were 6420 cPs, 9663 cPs, 13,430 cPs, 20,240 cPS. In the foam stability test obtained foam stability of 73%, 71%, 71%, 71%. It can be concluded that the formulation of anti-acne facial soap from suruhan leaf extract does not meet the requirements for the pH test. Abstract: Drug information services are activities to provide and provide information, independent,accurate,comprehensive,and up-to-date drug recommendations to avoid medication errors by pharmacists to patients and the public who need drug information to improve the success of therapy, maximize therapeutic effects and minimize the risk of side effects. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of drug information services at Alma Pharmacy in accordance with the Regulation of the Indonesian Minister of Health Number 73 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies. This research is a social pharmacy research using qualitative methods, data collection tools in the form of interviews and observation sheets (check lists). The data analysis carried out is qualitative analysis, namely by describing the results of interviews and observations related to Drug Information Services at Alma Pharmacy according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No.73 of 2016. Based on the results of research on the Evaluation of Drug Information Services at Pharmacies Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 73 of 2016, it can be concluded that Drug Information Services at Alma Pharmacy are in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 73 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies. Abstract: Antibiotics are drugs to treat infections caused by bacteria. Antibiotics are considered rational if they are given with indications, doses, duration of administration, choice of type, and others. The irrational use of drugs is one of the causes of medication errors. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2002 stated that the irrational use of drugs in Denpasar city reached more than 50%. In addition, previous research also stated that the percentage of drug abuse cases reached 42.7%. This result was also supported by Arimbawa's research in 2017 which stated that the level of irrational drug use in Denpasar City reached 44.3%. This study aims to determine the rational use of antibiotics at the Pemaron Health Center. The method used in this research is qualitative research, which is a method that emphasizes aspects of a deeper understanding of a problem than seeing a problem, using research instruments in the form of medical records taken in November 2023 as many as 18 medical records. The results showed that the accuracy and suitability of antibiotic use in patients at the Pemaron Brebes Health Center based on the right patient, the right dose, the right route, and being aware of side effects at the Pemaron Brebes Health Center were 100%, while the right indication was 83.33%, and the right drug was 66.66%. Abstract: Hydroquinone is a class of phenols that have water-soluble properties. The dangers of using hydroquinone in cosmetics include causing ochronosis (sandy, bluish-brown skin, itching and burning). This study aims to determine the presence or absence of hydroquinone content in facial whitening creams sold in online media. The samples studied were 3 face whitening creams sold in online media with thin layer chromatography method. The qualitative test results of hydroquinone with FeCl3 reagent 1%, obtained the results of samples A, B and C positive hydroquinone. The results of the color reaction test with Benedict reagent, O-phenanthroline and thin layer chromatography test results using the mobile phase methanol P: chloroform P (50:50), showed positive whitening cream samples containing hydroquinone, namely samples A and C. Abstract: Sunscreen is a skin-protecting cosmetic that has an important role in maintaining healthy skin, considering that most of our daily activities are done outside the home and tend to be exposed to sunlight. Teenagers are less concerned about the health of their skin, especially facial skin. One of the factors that influences teenagers not to use sunscreen is knowledge. Based on initial observations by researchers in Bulusari Village, many teenagers carry out outdoor activities without using sunscreen. This research aims to determine knowledge about sanctions against teenagers in Bulusari Village. The method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with sample determination based on snowball sampling, data collection methods through observation, interviews and documentation. This research included teenagers in Bulusari Village who met the inclusion criteria with a total of 20 respondents. From the research results it was found that the average was 83.3%. So it can be concluded that knowledge about sunscreen among teenagers in Bulusari village is very good. This can be influenced by knowledge factors such as education, age and culture. Abstract: Peel off masks are often referred to as peel off gel masks, which are a type of masks that is easy and quick to use because they can be removed after draying. Moringa Leaves (Moringa Oleifera L) contain high levels of antioxidant compunds. The antioxidants in Moringa Leaves help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals, which can cause the skin to become dry, dull and scaly by damaging the epidermis and collagen. The method used is laboratory experimental with descriptive analysis obtained directyl from the object under study. Concentrations of F1 5gr, F2 10 gr, and F3 20 gr quality tests for peel off mask preparations include organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, adhesion test, spereadability test, and drying speed test. The organoleptik test results for F1, F2, and F3 have a brownish green color with a distinctive odor of moringa leaves extract and gel from. Homogeneity test F1, F2, and F3 are homogeneous. The pH test, adhesion test, spereaddability test and drying speed test off the three formulas met the requirements for the value of a god peel off gel mask preparation with the addition of 3grams of Moringa leaves extract is 10grams of F2. Abstract: The number of traditional treatments is currently increasing because the side effects are relatively small. So far, people think that treatment using herbal medicine is safer than conventional treatment. The public also believes that herbal medicines have relatively fewer side effects, but that does not mean there are no reports of adverse reactions. This research aims to determine the description of knowledge in the community regarding the use of traditional medicine. The method used is a qualitative descriptive research method. By determining the sample based on the sowball sampling method, the data collection method is through observation, interviews and documentation. This research included the people of Pasarbatang Subdistrict who met the inclusion criteria with a total of 50 respondents. The score recapitulation results show an average of 79.9%. So it is concluded that the level of public knowledge about the use of traditional medicine in Pasarbatang Village is good. Abstract: Preparations in the form of gels used as facial skin care that are easy to apply include peel off gel masks. One of the ingredients used in making peel off gel masks is papaya leaves, because the content of papaya leaves has antibacterial activity that can inhibit the development of bacterial cell development. This study aims to determine the formulation and quality test results of preparations made from papaya leaf extract (Carica papaya L.). The method used was experimental and analyzed descriptively. The quality test of the preparation includes organoleptic examination, drying speed test, pH, homogeneity, adhesion and spreadability. Organoleptic examination on F1 is brownish green color, distinctive aroma of extract and gel shape. F2 and F3 are blackish green, typical extract aroma and gel shape. Homogeneity test F1, F2 and F3 are homogeneous. The adhesion test, pH examination, spreadability and drying speed meet the preparation requirements. The results obtained can be concluded that the papaya leaf peel off gel mask preparation formula in F1 is 1 gram, F2 is 3 grams and F3 is 5 grams and the quality test of the three formulations meets the dosage requirements.
