Shampoo, which is a cosmetic preparation containing surfactants, has detergency
properties. Belimbing wuluh leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L) is one of the leaves that
can be used to remove scalp dirt, so that it can be made into shampoo
preparations. The aim of the study was to determine the quality test added to the
belimbing wuluh leaves extract. and knowing the best formulation of shampoo
preparation from belimbing wuluh leaves extract. Experimental research method
by maceration. The formulation of belimbing wuluh leaves was made with
concentrations of 1g, 3g and 5g. Each formula was subjected to formulation tests
including organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH value tests, viscosity tests, and
foam height tests. Organoleptic tests F1, F2 and F3 obtained the same dosage
forms. However, there are differences in color and smell in each formula due to
the addition of active substances. Homogeneity test F1, F2 and F3 all formulas
have good homogeneity. Test the pH value of F1, F2 and F3 meet the
requirements. The viscosity tests F1 and F2 met the viscosity requirements
however, F3 did not. F1, F2 and F3 foam height tests are qualified. The results
obtained can be concluded that belimbing wuluh leaves can be used as an anti-
dandruff shampoo formulation from belimbing wuluh leaves extract (Averrhoa
bilimbi L). F1 on the organoleptic test and F3 on the viscosity test did not meet. |
