Facial soap made with a softer texture functions to clean dead skin cells, dust, oil,
make-up residue, and bacteria that stick to the face. Suruhan leaf extract contains
saponins, tannins, flavonoids, steroids as antibacterial and antiinflammatory
compounds. This study aims to determine the formulation of anti-acne facial soap
from the extract of the leaves of the order (Peperomia Pellucida L). The research
was carried out using an experimental method. Formulation of suruhan leaf extract
with F0 (0 g), F1 (3 g), F2 (4g) and F3 (5g). Each formula was subjected to quality
tests including organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH test, viscosity tests and
foam stability tests. The research results obtained, F0 was a yellow color, a
distinctive rose odor and a thick dosage form. F1, F2 and F3 have a blackish green
color, a characteristic odor of suruhan leaf extract and are in a thick dosage form.
In the homogeneity test, the formula is homogeneous. In the pH test, pH 10, 8, 8,
8 was obtained. In the viscosity test, the results were 6420 cPs, 9663 cPs, 13,430
cPs, 20,240 cPS. In the foam stability test obtained foam stability of 73%, 71%,
71%, 71%. It can be concluded that the formulation of anti-acne facial soap from
suruhan leaf extract does not meet the requirements for the pH test. |
