Abstract: Agriculture is one of the sectors that is quite important in Indonesia. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), employment absorption in the agricultural sector during the period from February 2021 to February 2022 reached 1.86 million, which was the highest figure among the total 17 employment-absorbing sectors. Rice harvesting in Indonesia is still largely dominated by human labor using highly manual methods, involving approximately 40% of human labor for intensive paddy fields. In addition to labor issues, there are also cultivation problems that result in high post-harvest losses in paddy fields, where the post-harvest loss rate reaches 20% (Handaka 2017). The main problem in post-harvest rice handling is the high loss of yield, as well as the production of low-quality unhusked rice and rice. Therefore, there is a need for a rice harvesting machine (Combine harvester) that is economical with supporting innovation and development, particularly in the part that separates the rice grains from the straw, requiring only 3-4 workers, and covering a large area of 3-4 hectares per day.
