Abstract: Shallots are one of the horticultural commodities that are quite strategic and have high economic value. The level of public consumption of shallots in Indonesia continues to increase. The abundant production of shallots in Brebes causes shallot prices to fluctuate. The plentiful harvests also affect the decline in shallot prices in Brebes. This study aims to analyze the Farming Business Profit and Farming Efficiency of Shallots in the Sidomakmur Farmers Group, Sidamulya Village, Wanasari Subdistrict, Brebes Regency, Central Java. The research method used is Descriptive Quantitative. In one planting season, the Sidomakmur farmers group incurred a total cost of IDR 130,000,000 and obtained an income of IDR 227,900,000. Therefore, in one planting season, the Sidomakmur farmers group made a profit of IDR 97,900,000, and based on the calculation using the formula NPMx/Px = 1, a farming efficiency of 0.82 or 82% was obtained, which means the Sidomakmur farmers group is less efficient in running their farming business as it is still below 1. It is hoped that the Sidomakmur farmers group can maximize the existing potential so that the shallot farming business can become efficient. Files in this item: 1

Abstract: Indonesia is one of the developing countries where most of its economic activities are still centered on the agricultural sector. The agricultural sector is a fundamental sector in economic development because many other sectors still depend on agriculture as a provider of production raw materials (inputs). Agricultural products are Indonesia's main export products, meaning that most of the population still relies on the agricultural sector, so the real income from agriculture still constitutes the largest part of the national GDP (Gross Domestic Product) (Ragimun, 2017). The objectives of this study are to understand the implementation of rice farming insurance in Wanasari Village and to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of rice farming insurance in Sidamulya Village. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. Descriptive qualitative research is used to examine matters related to the users of rice farming insurance in Sidamulya Village, Wanasari Subdistrict, Brebes Regency. The Agricultural Business Insurance Program (AUTP) aims to reduce or minimize the risks of farming failure, particularly in rice cultivation. The program is intended to provide protection for farmers against losses caused by floods, droughts, and attacks from plant pests and diseases. High and unpredictable agricultural risks causing substantial losses result in decreased rice production. Based on the results and discussion above, the hypothesis is about the AUTP implementation mechanism, where the rice farming insurance mechanism in Sidamulya Village is not very complicated; it only involves registering as an insurance participant, conducting location surveys, paying premiums, issuing insurance policies, and receiving claim payments. The conclusion from the second research objective is that the implementation of AUTP in Sidamulya Village is effective. The research results indicate that insurance activities are effective, as their objectives, integrity, and adaptability can be properly carried out in Sidamulya Village. Abstract: Agriculture is one of the sectors that is quite important in Indonesia. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), employment absorption in the agricultural sector during the period from February 2021 to February 2022 reached 1.86 million, which was the highest figure among the total 17 employment-absorbing sectors. Rice harvesting in Indonesia is still largely dominated by human labor using highly manual methods, involving approximately 40% of human labor for intensive paddy fields. In addition to labor issues, there are also cultivation problems that result in high post-harvest losses in paddy fields, where the post-harvest loss rate reaches 20% (Handaka 2017). The main problem in post-harvest rice handling is the high loss of yield, as well as the production of low-quality unhusked rice and rice. Therefore, there is a need for a rice harvesting machine (Combine harvester) that is economical with supporting innovation and development, particularly in the part that separates the rice grains from the straw, requiring only 3-4 workers, and covering a large area of 3-4 hectares per day. Abstract: This study aims to determine farmers' perceptions of the use of the active ingredient pesticide emamectin benzoate and to compare the costs of controlling armyworms on corn in Margasari District, Tegal Regency. The research was carried out by asking questions directly to the farmers covering the farmers' perceptions of knowledge. Then an analysis was carried out using a Likert scale and by making a comparison of the total cost of controlling pests using the insecticide emamectin benzoate and the cost of controlling pests using the insecticide chlorantraniliprole (a commonly used pesticide). Based on calculations using a Likert scale, it was concluded that farmers agreed to the use of the active ingredient pesticide emamectin benzoate in controlling armyworms on corn plants. using chlorantraniliprole (a pesticide commonly used by farmers) with a total cost of IDR 693,007 / hectare. Abstract: Group dynamics are a force inherent in a group that determines the behavior of the group and its members. The Women Farmers Group "Tiram Jaya" is a Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Sindangjaya Village, Kersana District, Brebes Regency. KWT "Tiram Jaya" was formed with the aim of helping the welfare of farming families in carrying out cultivation activities and processing oyster mushrooms into snacks. Factors that influence group dynamics describe everything that is felt, done and achieved, including the changes that occur at KWT "Tiram Jaya". The dynamics that occur at KWT "Tiram Jaya" are related to internal and external factors. Internal factors include: formal/non-formal education, group experience, while external factors include guidance and support from the government. Data collection in this research used the interview method with an interview guide in the form of a questionnaire to 10 respondents. The data analysis method used is Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The research results show that Formal/Non-Formal Education (X1) has a significant value of 0.096 > 0.05. This means that partial formal/non-formal education does not have a significant effect on group dynamics at the 5% real level. The beta coefficient value of 0.691 shows that formal/non- formal education has a positive effect on group dynamics. This means that increasing education by one unit will increase group dynamics by 0.691 units. Group Experience (X2) significant value 0.018 < 0.05. This means that group experience partially has a significant effect on group dynamics at a real level of 5%. The beta coefficient value of 1.097 shows that group experience has a positive effect on group dynamics. This means that increasing Group Experience by one unit will increase group dynamics by 1,097 units. Government Support (X3) significant value 0.889 > 0.05. This means that partial government support does not have a significant effect on group dynamics at the 5% real level. The beta coefficient value of -0.074 shows that government support has a negative effect on group dynamics. This means that increasing government support by one unit will reduce group dynamics by 0.074 units. URI: http://192.168.252.215:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/307 Files in this item: 1
