dc.description.abstract Antibiotics are drugs to treat infections caused by bacteria. Antibiotics are considered rational if they are given with indications, doses, duration of administration, choice of type, and others. The irrational use of drugs is one of the causes of medication errors. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2002 stated that the irrational use of drugs in Denpasar city reached more than 50%. In addition, previous research also stated that the percentage of drug abuse cases reached 42.7%. This result was also supported by Arimbawa's research in 2017 which stated that the level of irrational drug use in Denpasar City reached 44.3%. This study aims to determine the rational use of antibiotics at the Pemaron Health Center. The method used in this research is qualitative research, which is a method that emphasizes aspects of a deeper understanding of a problem than seeing a problem, using research instruments in the form of medical records taken in November 2023 as many as 18 medical records. The results showed that the accuracy and suitability of antibiotic use in patients at the Pemaron Brebes Health Center based on the right patient, the right dose, the right route, and being aware of side effects at the Pemaron Brebes Health Center were 100%, while the right indication was 83.33%, and the right drug was 66.66%. en_US
