The School Literacy Movement is a comprehensive effort to make schools a learning organization as an effort to foster students' character, so that students have a culture of reading and writing, thus creating lifelong learning. This program will be the focus of researchers to review at SDN 03 Tegalglagah by fostering students' interest in reading and writing. Students' reading motivation is still low and not optimal, as well as students' lack of reading ability. The purpose of this study is to describe the school literacy movement in increasing students' interest in reading and writing and to identify supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the school literacy movement in increasing students' interest in reading and writing at SDN 03 Tegalglagah. This study uses qualitative research, while this type of research uses case studies. The location of this research is SDN 03 Tegalglagah. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research at SDN 03 Tegalglagah researchers found that at SDN 03 Tegalglagah school, the school had implemented a school literacy movement and it was running well, and the school community also participated in developing the school literacy movement program. Such as the principal, teachers, students, and the SDN 03 Tegalglagah school community. However, parents and third grade students did not yet fully understand the meaning of literacy and the implementation of the GLS program at the school. |
